Critics have called the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra an "ensemble to watch," (Seattle Weekly) "an exceptionally talented group of musicians," (The Gathering Note) and "Seattle's new ambassadors of tight chamber ensemble, elegant phrasing, and deeply considered musicianship." (Sean MacLean, KING FM) The ensemble begins its fourth season with its signature blend of chamber orchestra repertoire from across the centuries, featuring Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme of Tallis, Tchaikovsky's Mozartiana Suite, and Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1. Acclaimed conductor Kim Roy makes her first appearance with SMCO in this performance featuring violinist Denise Dillenbeck. This performance is presented in partnership with the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center.
